My grandparents both died when I was 15. From that point on I had many other family members pass away. Both of my husbands parents haved passed on since we have been married. His father just pasted last September and we helped with the arrangements, this was my first time being involved in that aspect of things. I understand the compasion you have to have in dealing with people when they have lost a loved one. I know how I want to be treated in my time of need and would treat others the same. I think you have to realize what people have gone through and experienced someone being sick and you being at the hospital all the time only to have them not make it. My father in law was in the hospital for a month and I went every day to help my husband. And no matter how long they are sick you still think they are going to pull through. We also had to make the decision to take him off the machines, I think that in itself is the hardest decision to ever make. |
